STOK GURU TSHECHU


Stock lies at 14 kilometres south of leh on the opposite side of the singge tsangspo or indus river.the castle was built on a hill at the of the village stok in about the year 1825 by king tsespal tundup namgyal.From then on the successive kings of ladakh resided in this castle..Inside are presrved sharines, the crown, ceremonial dress and jewellery of the kings of stok.In stok there is also the scred monastery of gurphug,a branch of spituk monastery. On the 9th and 10th days of the tibetan month  celebrate the festival called stok guru tshechu.At that time two  oracal make their appearance.

      Ice stupa Shara is a Village in Kharu Block in Leh Ladakh District of Jammu & Kashmir State, India. Leh Dosmoche 2019                                       The festival of Dosmoche celebrate in both leh and likir monastery takes place every year in the 12th month of 28th and 29th according to the Tibetan calendar.The monks of different monasteries are invited by turn to perform the ceremonies which ensure health and prosperity.The expert lama's of takthak monastery who have forte in erect a large number thread-cross model (dosmoche) after which the festival is named.this year lamayouru monastery monk performed a mask dance in the large dance courtyard of the ''NEW MONASTERY'' OR ''GONPA SOMA'' below the castle of leh,and the monks of korzok monastery making a large thread -cross model to trip evil sprites.on 29th the monks leave from the center to the town wearing dance masks and playing on drums ,cymbals,horns and shams.
